It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the record chasers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the young fast bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's spark.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from there Healy was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was removed Australia needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the confidence to do that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing through the pain.

However although she later admitted those injuries have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this championship is expected to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as leader.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
